Overcoming Body Image Challenges
Rob and Jeff delve into a topic we are all familiar with—body image. The guys discuss how our views on looking “fit” have changed through the use different social media platforms. Rob brings up the point that a person can be qualified as physically fit if they look the part, but should we base fitness of more than just a great Instagram selfie? Well, yes. It’s important to do more than just look the part.
The beginning of this episode reminds us that, there are different levels of fitness and dynamic ways to achieve them. For practical strength consider CrossFit or Weight Training. If the typical gym setting isn’t your cup of tea, team sports like basketball and volleyball can get you the long and lean look. Rob and Jeff simply emphasize remaining active. Find something you love doing, and keep on moving!
About Evan Dollard
Today’s guest Evan Dollard embodies this concept. Evan “Rocket” Dollard is the hilariously charming American Gladiator, T.V. host, actor and four-time competitor on Ninja Warrior. Evan starts us off by giving a low down on everything from quirky gladiator nicknames, to working with Laila Ali, Hulk Hogan and how Evan won the first season of American Gladiator.
Evan, Rob, and Jeff share laugh out loud worthy stories on zits, obstacles courses, childhood games, and training methods. When it comes to his training and background Evan says he’s always been the guy that is, “good at a lot of different things but never great at one.” He then gives us insight on the events in his life that brought him to where he is today. “I guess I’m really good at gladiating…that was the take away!”
Evan also tells us about his Youtube business and active lifestyle tips he loves to share to help others optimize health and confidence.
