Post Men's Physique Blues

It seems to happen every time something big happens in my life.  I work for weeks, months or even longer to achieve a certain goal and once I reach it, I don’t know what to do with myself.  I get Post Goal Blues.  It doesn’t necessarily have to be a fitness goal, I remember feeling this way after every party or event I host.  There’s something about working toward something that’s almost more gratifying than the actual event itself.

This Men’s Physique competition was a big one.  I worked for 7 months to stand on stage for maybe a total of 10 minutes, and now what?  Don’t get me wrong, I wouldn’t change what I accomplished for anything, but after about a week my mind starts thinking of what I need to do next to keep that same sense of gratification that I get while prepping for an event or goal.

Here’s my first video blog talking about this experience.
